Full Body Chiropractic care
Chiropractic in simple terms means "effective use of the hands". Our treatment methods include removing the subluxation complex and other fixations found at all the joints of the musculoskeletal system. We also focus and encourage active patient lifestyle, by addressing joint fixations in the extremities as well as in the spine.
We utilize a wide range of treatments when delivering this type of health care. This is a mixture of techniques, both at the spine and the extremities. We have learned that the diversified approach allows us to customize treatments for best results for each patient rather than universally perform one particular method of care. Methods include, among others, Gonstead, Diversified, Activator Methods, Cranial/Sacral Therapy, Myofascial Release Techniques.

Activator Methods
Evolved from 35 years of empirical study and 15 years of clinical research, the Activator Methods Chiropractic Technique (AMCT) uses the latest advances in orthopedic, neurological and chiropractic examinations to seek joint dysfunction in the spinal column and extremities for improved patient care.
AMCT uses the Activator Adjusting Instrument to give consistent low-force, high-speed chiropractic adjustments. Over 35,000 doctors have been trained in AMCT and 2,100 doctors are Proficiency Rated, making AMCT the most widely used technique worldwide; a testament to low force patient satisfaction.
Myofascial Release Techniques
Myofascial release refers to the manual technique for stretching the fascia and releasing bonds between fascia and integument, muscles, and bones, with the goal of eliminating pain, increasing range of motion and balancing the body.
Fascia is located between the skin and the underlying structure of muscle and bone, it is a s eamless web of connective tissue that covers and connects the muscles, organs, and skeletal structures in our body. Muscle and fascia are united forming the myofascia system.
Injuries, stress, inflammation, trauma, and poor posture can cause restriction to fascia. Since fascia is an interconnected web, the restriction or tightness to fascia at a place, with time can spread to other places in the body like a pull in a sweater. See the fascia sweater. The goal of myofascial release is to release fascia restriction and restore its tissue health

Rehabilitation
Weight training, exercise, and stretching techniques related to chiropractic and physical therapy help support an active and healthy lifestyle.
Injury and trauma result from accidents, surgery, postural problems, repetitive strain and any other physically compromising situations. In order to get the most effective and efficient results for each patient, a custom tailored routine, incorporating in their normal everyday lifestyle. This optimizes the speed of rehabilitation and encourages a healthy lifestyle.
In order to achieve a desired result, the body needs to perform activities that it is not used to performing or not strong enough to perform. By targeting the weak areas, by both fitness and daily activity, the body will respond most rapidly and with the best results.
At Sherwood Hall Chiropractic, we specialize in helping patients recover from injury while continuing to progress in other aspects of fitness to achieve their goals. The benefits of this treatment method are two fold. One, it makes the therapy more effective, and two it requires less treatment and promotes quicker healing. This is extremely important when a person wants to live an active life style with no limitations.
